USC Campus Workers Need a Living Wage - Now They Have a Plan to Win
Campus workers at the University of South Carolina have launched a petition for living wages for all.
The petition calls for a minimum wage of $20/hour, a minimum of $40,000/year for salaried workers, and a minimum annual stipend of $20,000/year for all graduate workers. Workers are also calling for increases to reflect the rising cost of living, increases based on years of service, and living wages for contract workers. You can sign the petition here.
On August 19, graduate students, staff, and faculty came together for a Day of Action and put together a plan to win their demands.
Do you work in the University of South Carolina systems? Are you ready to be a part of the plan to win living wages for all campus workers?
