UCW SC Workers Rally to Raise the Wage with Sen. Sanders, Rev. Barber
Members of the United Campus Workers of South Carolina (UCW SC) rallied with members of the Union of Southern Service Workers (USSW) at the I.L.A. Local 1422 hall in Charleston. Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vermont) and Rev. Dr. William J. Barber II spoke, calling for the federal minimum wage to be increased to $17/hr.
Victor Ponds of UCW SC called on fellow public higher education employees in the state of South Carolina to join their union.
